The implementation of a big investment project for the production of glass products has started in Angren FEZ

On April 13, 2021, “Sigma Glass Production” FE LLC became a member of the Angren FEZ and a certificate of the Angren FEZ membership was issued.

"Sigma Glass Production" FE LLC will implement a project for the production of thermo-polished glass (float glass) with an annual production capacity of 9.5 million square meters. The cost of the project is USD 62.0 million. 30% of the planned production volume is intended for export. The launch of the plant is planned in the 1st quarter of 2023. As a result of the project implementation, 250 new jobs will be created.

Float glass is a sheet of glass made by floating molten glass on a bed of molten metal, typically tin, although lead and other various low-melting-point alloys were used in the past. This method gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces.
