Uzbek-Omani political consultations were held in Muscat
13.11.2013November 11-12, 2013 in Muscat were held political consultations between delegations of the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and the Sultanate of Oman.
During talks with the Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi were substantively discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in political, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the progress of cooperation in the framework of international and regional organizations, in particular the UN and the OIC.
Special attention was paid to the participation of Omani businesses in joint investment projects in Angren Special Industrial Zone and Navoi Free Industrial Economic Zone.
During the meeting, the monitoring of the legal framework of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for its expansion was conducted.
The sides also discussed the timing of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Investment and the Uzbek- Omani Business Council.
During his stay in Muscat, the Uzbek delegation also held a series of meetings and negotiations in the ministries and departments of Oman.
